Michelle Mitchell, PhD, serves as Vice President of Clinical Workforce Development at Indiana University Health, where she leads enterprise strategies to strengthen clinical talent pipelines, expand training capacity, and advance career mobility across the health system. She partners with academic, community, and healthcare stakeholders to build a highly skilled, sustainable workforce that supports exceptional patient care and long-term organizational growth.||Dr. Mitchell brings more than 15 years of national leadership experience in healthcare workforce strategy. Prior to joining IU Health, she spent 13 years at Ascension, most recently serving as National Director of Workforce Development-Market Operations, leading workforce initiatives supporting more than 90,000 employees across multiple states. She previously served as Statewide Outreach Director for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.||She holds a PhD in Global Leadership and Organizational Development from Indiana Institute of Technology and both her Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Science degrees from Indiana University.|
