Ben Wells is the President & Chief Executive Officer for Reid Health, which includes Reid Health Hospital and Reid Health Physician Associates, located in Richmond, Indiana. Ben has a master's in healthcare administration with over 17 years of health care management and operational experience, spanning six different health systems. ||Reid Health is a progressive, not-for-profit 231-bed Sole Community Hospital/Rural Referral Center acute care hospital, and includes Reid Health Physician Associates, for the employment of primary care and specialty providers. Reid's service area is East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio, home to about 280,000 people in five Indiana counties and two Ohio counties. ||As the leader of the senior management team, Ben provides the overall leadership and management for Reid and associated entities and is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the organization within the guidelines set by the Board of Directors. Having a diverse history of financial management and operations at both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations in various states, Ben has a wide perspective to assist in driving operational performance. He leads and guides the executive staff to carry out the mission, goals, and objectives of the organization. || ||Transitioning from the CFO to the CEO role, Ben has focused on ""connecting the dots"" and educating departmental leaders on understanding their service lines and their impact on patient quality and financial performance.
